Young Leaders Program – Virtual Career Fair – October 10, 2023

The Young Leaders Program provides comprehensive support to Greenhouse Scholar alumni in the first decade of their careers and post-college lives and ensures we work together as a community to launch high-potential, high-impact ideas.
 
The program serves alumni who are committed to growing as a leader, pursuing the best version of themselves, leveling the playing field in their careers, and being a part of strengthening our community.  


The 1st Greenhouse Career Fair provided a highly engaging, customized experience for our corporate sponsors and partner organizations to access our exceptional, diverse, talent pool of Greenhouse graduating seniors and alumni aged 20-35.
  • 31 professionals including 4 alumni represented 22 companies
  • 34 Scholar seniors and Alumni attended representing 10 different class years
  • 20 impactful sessions were hosted including 8 sponsor presentations, 5 industry panels, 3 career-focused workshops, and 1 alumni panel
  • 28 individual one-on-one sessions were held between sponsors and young professionals

Zach is a Lead Recruiter on the Campus Strategy & Programs team where he oversees Deloitte’s Internship Program and Internship Conferences held at Deloitte University. Zach started with Deloitte as a Tax Consultant in 2017 before transitioning internally to the Campus Recruiting team in 2018. Zach served as the Denver office campus recruiting lead for the Audit & Assurance, Tax, and Risk & Financial Advisory businesses for 3.5 years before taking on his current role. Zach is a graduate of Colorado State University (BSBA – Accounting) and the University of Denver (MS – Accounting) and is currently a licensed CPA in the State of Colorado.

Brett Brenton serves as Regional Impact Manager at myFutureNC, serving the North Central regions of the state. Brett started his career as a high school social studies teacher near Baltimore, MD, where he taught ten classes over seven years there, including AP US History and AP Government. After relocating to North Carolina in 2007, he spent six years with Wake County Schools, four as a middle school teacher and administrator, and two as an assistant principal at an elementary school.

Kyle is currently the Director of Atlantic’s Packaging Solution Center. The SC houses unique test equipment to simulate over-the-road transit environments for the purpose of analyzing success or failure of current or modified packaging conditions. This testing is critical in determining root cause failure, validating success of packaging changes, or responsibly testing packaging elimination before customer shipments. The purpose of our lab is not to provide a pass-fail analysis, but holistic solutions to ensure product safety.

Richard is an action-focused, community development organization that partners with public school alumni, 30 and younger, to change how the city of Denver educates and re-invests in its homegrown talent. As Senior Director of Strategy and Impact, Richard is responsible for all programs, policy ideation, and implementation. Richard is proud to be part of the team that, through extensive community outreach, successfully lobbied the Denver Public Schools Board of Education to add Ethnic Studies and Financial Literacy as graduation requirements, and is working to pass a city ordinance to provide scholarship money for individuals over 25 to return to school to earn their first-time degree or certificate.

Before joining Gibson Dunn as a litigation attorney, José served as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Monica M. Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court and the Honorable Laura A. Cordero of the District of Columbia Superior Court. José earned his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He graduated cum laude and class marshal from Georgetown University, where he earned a BA degree in American Studies from Georgetown College and a minor in Latin American Studies from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
Before law school, he worked in various industries, including finance, higher education, media consulting, and the nonprofit sector. José is active in the community and has served on various boards and advisory boards, including the Cristo Rey Network board of directors.

Senior Policy Analyst, Education Commission of the States

As a senior policy analyst, Zeke tracks legislation related to statewide longitudinal data systems, school safety, and postsecondary campus safety. He has been with Education Commission of the States since 2014. Zeke has a passion for local politics and enjoys following the varied policy approaches of city and state leaders. Zeke has a BA in Public Policy, Political Science, and International Studies and a Master in Public Policy, both from the University of Denver.
