Greenhouse Scholars has opportunities for you to volunteer no matter your skills, interests, or how much time you have to spare. We could not be successful without the generous commitments from community members like you. Listed below are a few of our most urgent needs.

Attend Events

Attending a “Greenhouse Scholars Experience” is one of the best ways to get to know us and our Scholars. From an all-women’s bike ride to a delicious farm dinner prepared by a renowned chef, our events are not to be missed.

Be a mentor

As a mentor, you will be a source of knowledge, support, and life experience for our Scholars while they attend college and become community leaders. The exact nature of the mentor and mentee relationship will be up to you and your Scholar to customize. We ask only that you commit to meeting with your mentee for a minimum of two hours a month.

Be a Networking contact

Our Professional Networking Contacts are our Scholars’ champions—professionals who know our Scholars’ talent, leadership and relentlessness. Joining the directory gives our Scholars access to an exclusive group of industry leaders who will transform their dreams and aspirations into the reality of a professional path with a promise for significant impact.

Select the next class

Help us find the next generation of Greenhouse Scholars by reviewing applications and/or attending panel interviews with the finalists. You are sure to be inspired by the stories of the incredible challenges these students have faced and overcome.

Host your own fundraiser

Get creative and host your own event to support Greenhouse Scholars. Whether you raise $5,000 dollars or $50, your efforts will be appreciated.

Volunteer at an event

Each year, we rely on hundreds of dedicated volunteers to ensure the success of our events and the continued support of our Scholars.

Sponsor a Scholar

When an individual or a group pledges to donate $10,000 per year for five years, they are able to choose one Scholar to sponsor throughout his or her time in the program. Sponsor a Scholar groups are frequently updated on the progress of their sponsored Scholars and receive information and stories at least twice per year.

Support Flex Funding

Flex Funding offers Scholars the opportunity to apply for a grant that will allow them to better themselves and their communities. On our Flex Funding website, you’re able to see the Scholars’ active Flex Funding projects and contribute to the project of your choice.
