She received the Posse Scholarship in her final year of high school, earning a full-ride to the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During her undergraduate studies, she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and made meaningful contributions on campus. After graduating in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education, she moved to Houston and taught third grade in Alief ISD, building strong relationships with students and supporting their academic growth.

After two years in teaching, she returned to school to become CPA-eligible, pursuing her long-held goal of a career in accounting. Since starting in public accounting in 2021, she has been an active participant and recruiter, advocating for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the field.
