Terrance feels that, by growing up half black and half white, he was given a gift of being able to relate to anyone. He feels strongly about being a role model to younger black men and serves as a tutor for an elementary school student, peer tutor, and assistant coach on a youth rugby team. Terrance holds several leadership roles in addition to his mentorship activities. He is captain of his cross country team and serves on his high school’s Student Council and Deans Council. His interest in biomedical engineering came about after he was selected for internships at Lockheed Martin and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus.
