Sana Moqeet

  • Sana was the only female from her community of low income, immigrant families to attend a high school that is locally and nationally recognized for its academic excellence. While she attended high school, she tutored children in her community to help others reach their academic goals.
  • With a passion for global issues, she became the Logistics Coordinator for a youth-led non profit that raised over $37,000 for various issues, including building an orphanage for HIV/AID infected children in Cameroon and raising funds for wells in Bangladesh.
  • Sana was the founder of an organization that charitably generated the funds to build wells in Africa; she received the Alexander Hamilton National Scholar for Community Service Award for this endeavor.
