Bring awareness to the subsidized house communities to ensure people with the bare minimum can live a full life.
Micah Johnson grew up in subsidized housing raised by her mother. During her senior year without stable housing, she led as National Honor Society president, and organized school events. Her relentlessness showed as she overcame challenges like no Wi-Fi or reliable transportation by using public libraries, planning routes carefully, and holding onto faith in people and possibility. Micah envisions a world where honesty and care replace silence and indifference, empowering everyone to speak their truth and create beauty from what they have. She plans to study architecture and change the housing systems all across America, and encourage people to love where they live.
