Jocelyn Hernandez

  • Within a year of serving as an Explorer for the Commerce City Police Department, a program that teaches young people about law enforcement and the importance of community service, Jocelyn was promoted to the position of training coordinator and was later appointed to Lieutenant.
  • Passionate about law enforcement and helping people in times of stress and uncertainty, she served as teen advocate on Teen Court, where she represented the criminal prosecutor, defense attorney, bailiff, and jury for teens in her city who have been sentenced. Jocelyn’s academic engagement and hard work positioned her in the top 5% of her graduating class.
