Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jacob is a proud Ethiopian and recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a B.S. in Public Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health. He has a deep passion for healthcare access and serving underserved communities, inspired by his experiences as a first-generation Ethiopian American and a return to his Ethiopian Orthodox faith. Greenhouse has been instrumental in providing community, support, and accountability to help him reach his goals.
Leadership highlights:
- Served four years on the executive board of the East African Student Organization as Dance Choreographer and Public Relations Officer.
- Secretary of the Minority Association of Pre-Med/Health Students (MAPS) for three years.
- Conducted two years of clinical research in Endocrinology at UNC School of Medicine.
- Worked as a medical assistant at StarMed Family and Urgent Care, supporting underserved populations.
