Embracing art, culture, and literature as tools for everyday resistance.
Esthyr Stucky, the daughter of immigrants and a proud first-generation college student, was raised in Southwest Denver, a vibrant yet underserved community that shaped her sense of justice and grit. She grew up understanding the weight of resilience and the responsibility of advocacy, carrying that legacy forward through every challenge. As the sole representative from her neighborhood on the Mayor’s Youth Commission, she fights for access to food, transportation, and education for low-income students while also serving her community through work at her local library. Her relentlessness shows in her straight-A academic record, published research on health disparities, and the hours she spends studying, working, and advocating, all while remaining deeply grounded in her roots. Looking ahead, she envisions a future where youth from overlooked neighborhoods feel empowered, seen, and supported by systems designed with their needs in mind. Esthyr plans to explore culture and history through anthropology, using education as a launchpad to build a more equitable and inclusive society.
