Bashel Lewis is a self-proclaimed “Zillennial” who uses creativity and data-driven strategy to empower diverse stories and grow brand affinity. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, he made history as the first Greenhouse Scholar from the state before earning his B.A. in Organizational Studies from Pitzer College in California. Professionally, Bashel has built a career at the intersection of culture and marketing. At Nielsen, he supports the digital growth marketing team, leading social strategy across 1.5 million followers. His work focuses on connecting brands to culture through storytelling, data, and authenticity.

Creatively, Bashel launched his blog, COPE FASHION, with the support of Greenhouse—building a global community of young professionals, style lovers, and pop culture enthusiasts. Today, he continues that mission through his original web series, Bashel The Zillennial, which explores the intersections between Gen Z and Millennial perspectives. His work has been featured in Forbes, Adweek, Variety, and Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media.

Beyond his career, Bashel is deeply rooted in the community. From helping establish a community land trust in his Atlanta neighborhood to mentoring students through nonprofits like Raising Expectations, he believes in lifting as he climbs. Having faced obstacles from homelessness to bullying, he’s turned those challenges into purpose creating platforms that celebrate joy, culture, and self-expression. Whether behind the mic or the camera, Bashel is building toward his next big goal: creating a syndicated talk show that inspires audiences to show up as their full, fabulous selves.
