Ananda moved from Uganda to Denver, Colorado at age 14 and experienced significant cultural transition, which shaped her awareness of race, identity, and systemic inequality. These experiences sparked her commitment to equity, particularly for women and Black communities, and to addressing disparities in education and health.

She has led initiatives across education, philanthropy, and global health, including founding a college access program in high school, managing grant-funded student initiatives at Harvard, and working in global health equity research and social impact. She spent a year working with EarthEnable in Rwanda, focusing on improving living conditions and community health outcomes for rural communities in East Africa, and joined the Greenhouse team in 2025.
