Isabel Callahan

Associate

Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Isabel knew from an early age she liked people, an interest that has since led her to new places and communities. During a gap year, Isabel taught elementary-aged students in Ghana and Chicago, IL. She then traveled to sunny California, where she received a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from Pomona College. Taking a semester away from remote schooling, she worked for the PEN/Faulkner Foundation as a Literary Outreach and Education Programs intern, helping conduct virtual author visits for DCPS students. Such experiences solidified her love of community, education, and regular sunshine.

The convergence of such interests led her to Greenhouse Scholars, where she currently serves as a Relationship and Business Development Support Associate.

In her free time, Isabel enjoys adventuring outside, spending time with friends and family, dancing, and doing mini-crossword puzzles.
