Helena Cappon

Helena was one of the top 3 students in her high school class and served as senior class president. Her academic relentlessness explains how she became the first generation in her family to go to college.
She led her team to victory during the Aspen Challenge, a high profile competition among 20 Denver high schools to solve for a prominent community issue. They created a sustainable program to bring a safe space to play for impoverished youths in her neighborhood by clearing and cleaning a recreation center, establishing a drainage system, and creating a bike share program for the children
Passionate about politics, Helena envisions herself as a community leader who is able to bring lasting change through dialogue and compromise.
