Ellie Ellis

Ellie completed a month long internship and 35 hours of hotline training in order to serve as a teen correspondent for community outreach with Sexual Assault Services of Durango. She was also the founder and president of Peers Owning Wellness (POW), a peer advocacy group promoting healthy student living.
At her high school, Ellie designed and implemented a model for youth focus groups and peer counseling to address issues of sexual harassment, bullying and oppression.
Ellie maintained straight A’s throughout high school, in addition to working multiple jobs.
