Crystal Ayala

Family circumstances led Crystal to attend three different high schools, but that did not hinder her consistent volunteering at the Gathering Place, World Vision, the Denver Rescue Mission, and Kepner Middle School.
As a mentor at her high school, Crystal was awarded the ‘mentor of the year’ in 2014.
Because of her volunteer work and desire to become a school psychologist and community liaison for Denver Public Schools, she received the Rising Leaders in Education Award offered through the University of Colorado at Denver.
Crystal is the youngest of six siblings and the first person in her immediate family to go to college.
