Bashel Lewis

Bashel completed more than 500 hours of community service to better his neighborhood, which was in turmoil due to the building of a new stadium.
He was a member of an African American male initiative club, president of the Recycling and Leaders of Tomorrow Clubs at his school, student government events coordinator, and heavily involved in theater.
For being a person of service, knowledge, prestige, and humanitarianism, Bashel earned Homecoming King, an honor awarded by the student body.
Even when Bashel was homeless after his mother was incarcerated, he kept his commitment to his community.
